Be the reliability champion that keeps production moving
Picture this: a robotic welder alarms during a peak run, a stamping press needs alignment, and a flow sensor drifts out of spec. You step in—diagnose swiftly, coordinate with production, maintenance, and the tool room, repair decisively, and validate the fix. As our Plant Equipment Reliability Technician, you blend mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and machining skills to maximize uptime and quality.
Your mission
- Own installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance for production and facility equipment using safe, predictive, and productive practices.
- Handle emergency and unscheduled repairs during production; complete scheduled maintenance during service windows.
- Test malfunctioning assets, analyze data and schematics, and repair or replace components including relays, switches, motors, and sensing devices.
- Rewire motors, replace motor bearings, realign spindles and clutches, and verify performance by starting equipment post-repair.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear or misalignment; dismantle machinery when needed to access problem areas.
- Install, test, and maintain control hardware, pressure-sensing, and flow-measuring devices.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance programs for all plant welding equipment, including robotic systems.
- Lead or participate in corrective actions and 8D problem solving to eliminate chronic process and quality issues.
- Model compliance with company policies, 5S, and safety programs; drive continuous improvement of current processes.
- Perform other tasks as assigned to support team and business objectives.
