Senior Cost Accountant

LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently looking for a candidate to fill a full-time Senior Cost Accountant job located in the Houston TX area. Houston-based job is the largest manufacturing company in its field and is looking for a candidate with 5-plus years of standard cost accounting experience and/or manufacturing experience.

Job Duties:

• Month-end close procedures.
• Ensure standard costing is recorded accurately.
• Prepare monthly accruals and target costing projects.
• Perform monthly variance analysis.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations of inventory accounts.
• Calculation and maintenance of inventory reserves
• Preparation and posting of journal entries.
• Assist in reporting and execution of Branches cycle count / physical inventory.

Qualifications:

• 5 plus years of cost accounting experience

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Employment Type: Full Time
