Schedule: On-site 4 days per week
Salary: $120,000–$150,000, depending on experience
Reports To: Director of Operational Controlling

Plant Controller

We are seeking an experienced Plant Controller to serve as a key financial business partner to plant leadership and Division Finance. This highly visible position will lead the plant's financial activities while supporting operational performance, profitability, compliance, and strategic decision-making.

The ideal candidate brings a strong background in manufacturing finance, cost accounting, financial planning, and team leadership with the ability to work closely with Operations, Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead plant financial activities, including budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and financial reporting
  • Ensure accurate financial statements and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Partner with Plant Leadership and Division Finance on business objectives and strategic planning
  • Analyze plant financial and operational performance and provide actionable recommendations
  • Monitor costs, variances, KPIs, and profitability
  • Identify and drive cost-saving and operational efficiency initiatives
  • Oversee inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventory, and inventory optimization
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to align financial and operational goals
  • Evaluate and support capital expenditure projects and business cases
  • Maintain strong internal controls and ensure SOX compliance
  • Coordinate and support internal and external audits
  • Drive financial process improvement, standardization, and best practices
  • Lead, coach, and develop the plant finance team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience
  • Manufacturing or automotive industry experience strongly preferred
  • 5+ years of financial leadership/team management experience
  • Strong experience with manufacturing cost accounting
  • Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, variance analysis, and financial reporting
  • Experience with inventory accounting and plant operations
  • Knowledge of internal controls, SOX, and audit requirements
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning tools
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, communication, and business-partnering skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Ability to work on-site in Tremonton 4 days per week
