Job DetailsWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Plant Controller to join our fast-paced engineering team. This role is a key member of the management team and is responsible for all aspects of financial management at our manufacturing plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, capital expenditure (Capex), and management. This role requires a proactive individual who can oversee financial planning, budget management, cost management, financial analysis, and reporting.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the manufacturing plant, including the development and management of budgets, financial forecasts, and reports.
2. Develop and implement effective financial strategies, controls, and processes to drive optimal asset utilization and profitability.
3. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual WIP reports, and provide insightful analysis on variances and trends.
4. Manage capital expenditure (Capex) projects, including financial planning, budgeting, execution, and reporting.
5. Collaborate with plant management to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
6. Ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, as well as statutory requirements and guidelines.
7. Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
8. Act as a key liaison between the plant and corporate finance, providing accurate and timely financial information and strategic insights.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial management role within the manufacturing or engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in manufacturing accounting, WIP reporting, Capex, and management.
4. Strong analytical skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of developing and mentoring a high-performing team.
6. Proficient in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
7. Solid understanding of financial laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
10. High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
