Description
An iMPact Business Group client is seeking to hire a Plant Controller in the Grand Rapids, MI job market. This role is with a highly successful manufacturing client!
This firm is looking for Candidates who fully understand the Accounting needs of a Manufacturing firm that supports the Automotive industry.

This role is for someone who enjoys being involved with the entire business and is as comfortable in the Corporate Suite as they are out on the Shop Floor.
Duties -
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements
Partner with plant leadership to explain financial results
Lead plant month-end close activities
Oversee inventory accounting, including physical counts, reconciliations, and investigation of variances
Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
Review general ledger (GL) activity, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation
Assist with year-end close, audit support, and compliance requirements
Drive continuous improvement (CI) in financial processes, reporting, and internal controls
Ensure adherence to -- company policies, quality systems, and environmental systems
Lead, mentor, and develop plant Accounting staff
Manage day-to-day activities of the Accounting team
Review work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
Provide coaching, training, and development to staff
Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations of accounting personnel
Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
