Our client is hiring a Plant Controller to lead finance for a four-shift, 24/7 manufacturing operation that runs furnace/casting, press and packaging and will be responsible for turning production performance into clear financial decisions. Responsibilities include:
- Own monthly, quarterly and annual close for the plant
- Maintain reconciliations, accruals and strong internal controls, including segregation of duties
- Maintain and improve standard costing, inventory valuation and COGS analysis
- Work with Operations and Engineering to find the root causes behind cost swings
- Put operational performance in financial terms that managers can use
- Build scenarios to support operational decisions and cost-reduction targets
- Reconcile raw material, WIP and finished-goods inventory to the general ledger
- Review obsolete and slow-moving inventory, and tighten inventory controls with Supply Chain
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of progressively responsible accounting or finance experience
- Strong knowledge of general accounting and financial controls
- Ability to support a 24/7 operation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturing accounting experience
- CPA license
- Experience in a continuous operation or multi shift plant environment
