Plant Controller

This position will partner closely with executive leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, operational finance, compliance and plant accounting activities. We are engaged in a search for a Plant Controller with a growing manufacturing organization supporting recycling operations.

We are engaged in a search for a Plant Controller with a growing manufacturing organization supporting recycling operations. This position will partner closely with executive leadership and play a key role in financial reporting, operational finance, compliance and plant accounting activities.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead FP&A activities, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
• Perform month end and year end close processes
• Analyze GL activity and investigate financial variances against budget and prior periods
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and maintain subsidiary ledgers
• Support internal and external audit activities including SOX compliance
• Prepare monthly cash flow reporting and executive level financial presentations
• Assist with implementation and improvement of accounting procedures, systems and internal controls
• Track KPIs and identify operational and financial trends
• Manage fixed assets, depreciation schedules and lease accounting activities
• Support special projects, operational initiatives and cross functional finance activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
• Manufacturing finance experience required
• SOX compliance experience required
• Strong Excel skills required
• SAP experience preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
