    What you’ll do

    • Lead, schedule, and direct Maintenance Mechanics/Technicians; set priorities and allocate labor efficiently.
    • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance; create, assign, and track work orders in a CMMS (e.g., MaintainX).
    • Oversee DOT fleet compliance; manage heavy equipment maintenance and industrial electrical repairs.
    • Provide on-the-job training, daily guidance, and mentorship; complete reviews and corrective actions when appropriate.
    • Build, rebuild, and repair equipment to spec; manage costs to meet repair estimates.
    • Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and local codes; champion company safety policies and procedures.
    • Sustain 5S standards and a clean, orderly, and safe maintenance environment.
    • Procure, install, maintain, and repair equipment; troubleshoot faults and execute repairs.
    • Estimate labor and material needs; solicit competitive pricing; control inventory and purchasing.
    • Maintain detailed records of labor, materials, and work orders; prepare reports as needed.
    • Operate light trucks for pickups/deliveries; maintain regular attendance; perform other duties as assigned.

    • Trade tools, methods, and techniques for skilled/general maintenance and equipment repair.
    • Scheduling, layout, and assignment of maintenance work.
    • Health/safety precautions; technical aspects of your specialty; proper storage of tools/materials.
    • Record-keeping fundamentals and legal/defensive driving practices.

    What you can do

    • Perform journey-level maintenance and diagnose complex issues.
    • Prioritize, schedule, assign, and review work to meet deadlines.
    • Train and lead personnel working on mobile and plant equipment.
    • Interpret codes/regulations and apply them correctly.
    • Operate vehicles; perform heavy physical labor and safely lift heavy objects.
    • Read, interpret, and explain work orders; communicate clearly in writing and speech.
    • Make accurate calculations; work independently; maintain cooperative relationships.

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED.
    • At least five (5) years’ experience in one or more skilled trades.
    • Valid driver’s license in the state of work.

    Physical requirements

    • Stand, sit, and walk for extended periods in plant environments.
    • Communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
    • Perform grasping/fine manipulation; bend, squat, crawl, climb, and reach.
