About the Role

The Planning Manager position will be responsible for supporting strategic accounts through partnering with the account managers and directors on sales, margin, and inventory optimization. The Planning Manager must communicate effectively with external and internal partners and excel at creating a clear narrative of business insights using data. This role will also support the Planning Director by managing Planning Analysts, providing direction, and ensuring deadlines are met.

You'll Make a Difference By

  • Building and maintaining high level of collaboration/partnerships with multiple internal team members across different functions, and coordinating those efforts for timely and efficient execution
  • Maintaining purchase orders including familiarity with EDI practices (bulk order management is a plus)
  • Creating and maintaining weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual reporting that is utilized to recap retail key performance indicators and providing expert analysis with impactful recommendations
  • Addressing impromptu requests and being a proactive, agile partner in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and achieve collective business objectives
  • Leading a team of analysts through organizational skills to help prioritize and manage multiple requests & deliverables
  • Motivating and inspiring a strong planning organization to achieve best-in-class service for our customers
  • Assisting with other responsibilities based on business needs.

About You

  • Five to Eight years of experience in merchandise planning/buying and wholesale
  • Experience in retail planning systems and programs including assortment building, forecasting, and optimization
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex quantitative data and report back to the team with actionable opportunities. Must be proactive in determining business needs.
  • Exceptional aptitude with numbers and clear understanding of retail math
  • Self-starter with ability to manage through ambiguity in a fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects, and prioritize and meet deadlines across multiple retail accounts
  • Must be detailed and process oriented
  • Strong influencing skills with the ability to story-tell data across a diverse range of audience
  • Exceptional Microsoft Suite ability with advanced Excel skills
  • Travel is required
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • This position is a remote position

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 per year.
