Description:

Kobo Products, Inc. located in South Plainfield, NJ is seeking a motivated and organized Planning associate to join our team.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of Associate's Degree required
  • Experience in the Manufacturing Industry required, with experience within the cosmetics or personal care industry preferred
  • Knowledge of GMP and safety regulations required
  • Must be able to stay organized and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong multi-tasking skills and computer skills required

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for creating and continually maintaining a strategy for scheduling production of raw materials and products that account for lead times, shipping dates, and forecasts.
  • Utilize customer forecasts and orders to determine and prioritize requests for raw materials needed for production.
  • Work with Production supervisors to review schedule, priorities, manpower, etc. and make determinations on how to proceed to best utilize available resources.
  • Work with Purchasing to order materials needed.
  • Determine next batches for Operators to ensure adherence to the Production schedule.
  • Work with QC in terms of raw material issues and coordinate and oversee implementation of plans to fix products that require adjustments.
  • Contribute to internal Out-of-Specification adjustment meetings.
  • Review powder plant Standard Operating Procedures and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with QA, Production, and Maintenance to verify and resolve CAPA issues.
  • Respond to QC product failure inquiries and help minimize production downtime.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager and Production team to ensure physical solution inventory is accurate.
  • Oversee powder plant waste disposal and ensure proper disposal of rejected and expired materials in collaboration with QC Supervisor and Manager.
  • Serve as backup for plant tours when the Plant Manager is unavailable.

  • Participate in Climate Emissions Reduction meetings focused on emissions target setting and operational decarbonization initiatives for the powder plant.

Salary:

  • Minimum of $60,000 annually and negotiable based on applicable experience (Production experience is preferred and will be prioritized).
