Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Planner to join their team. As a Planner, you will be part of the Supply Chain Department supporting the Material Planning team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Planner
Location: Richmond, VA
What's the Job?
- End-to-end planning of inventory, including sales in excess of invoicing from purchase requisition to customer invoice.
- Support internal customer service inquiries daily, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
- Set inventory parameters and targets, ensuring adequate replenishment through purchase orders aligned with manufacturing plans.
- Define inventory policies based on specified segmentation and analyze potential shortages.
- Collaborate with buyers to optimize supplier performance, including delivery, quality, and lead time management.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, supply chain, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, purchasing, or supply chain management.
- Proficiency in SAP MM/PP modules.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Microsoft Power Query and Power BI is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Inventory Management & Control practices.
