Planner I is an entry‑level role focused on keeping manufacturing running smoothly by coordinating materials, schedules, and workflow.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Production scheduling —Maintain and assist Materials Department with daily or weekly production schedules based on customer orders, capacity, and deadlines.
- Material planning — Ensure raw materials and components are available by coordinating with purchasing and inventory teams.
- Work order management — Create, release, and track work orders through the production process.
- Inventory coordination — Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and help prevent overstock.
- Data analysis — Use ERP/MRP systems to analyze capacity, lead times, and production performance.
- Cross‑functional communication — Work with production, purchasing, engineering, and logistics to keep operations aligned.
- Issue resolution — Help troubleshoot delays, material shortages, or schedule conflicts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience:- Associate degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or related discipline is required, or have a minimum of 1-3 years relevant experience in a planning position.
Required Skills/Abilities:- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be very organized, detail-oriented and have the capacity to work on multiple issues simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Preferred Skills/Abilities:- APICS / NAPM Certification
- Familiarity with SAP B1 software
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, economics, finance, engineering, or related discipline
Physical Requirements:- Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing.
- Repeating motions that include wrists, hands, and fingers.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
