We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Piping Superintendent in Elkton, Virginia who thrives when people are in sync and construction projects are running like they should. You'll take the lead on daily coordination and planning activities at the project site, and ensure the right materials, equipment and people are there to get the job done. A piping superintendent is a senior construction professional who combines technical knowledge, leadership, and project management skills to oversee piping systems from installation to turnover to client. Success in this role requires experience, strong communication, safety awareness, and the ability to manage complex projects efficiently.

Roles and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Supervising and coordinating crews involved in pipe laying, joining, welding, insulation, and testing, ensuring work aligns with project specifications and standards
  • Planning and scheduling construction activities, determining manpower, material requirements, equipment needs, and temporary power sources
  • Coordinating with other trades and departments, including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams, to ensure smooth project execution
  • Performing inspections and tests, including hydrotesting and pneumatic testing, to verify system integrity

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Engineering preferred; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree
  • At least 5 years of construction site experience in an EPCM environment preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience as a general foreman, superintendent, and/or construction manager
  • Experience with Modular skid reassembly, Bluebeam, plumbing, non-hygienic piping, CGMP documentation

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Pharma Experience preferred
  • OSHA30 certification
  • Bluebeam

92,000.00

Posted Salary Range: Upper

155,000.00

The base salary range for this position is $92,000.00 to $155,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
