The Infrastructure Team is creating a revolutionary factory by bringing conceptual designs to life, producing cutting-edge detailed designs of piping systems within the factory utility infrastructure systems which are fully integrated with manufacturing processes.

In this role, you will design complex piping systems to support Proccess and/or Mechanical engineering and construction of infrastructure development, from concept level to production. Systems may include MPCA, specialty chemicals, water systems and waste water systems.

The environment is fast-paced, exciting and challenging. As a Piping Designer, you will play a critical role in our efforts to accelerate the world s transition to sustainable energy. The position is located in Reno, Nevada

  • Develop design documents and deliverables in 2D and 3D using Revit and AutoCAD for permitting & construction
  • Create equipment arrangements, Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and pipe routing plans
  • Develop clash-free design models (LOD 300) in Revit, Navisworks, and/or Revizto
  • Develop fabrication-level models (LOD 400-500) for onsite assembly of specialty piping systems
  • Utilize Revit fabrication parts to provide accurate design and fabrication schedules to Estimating and Procurement
  • Coordinate closely with multiple disciplines utilizing effective communication skills to resolve design challenges
  • Perform field walks, write up field reports, utilize point cloud data to develop accurate as-built models
  • 3+ years of piping design and experience with a variety of piping system
  • Proficient in the use of Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
  • Experience as a detailed designer in Process / Mechanical Piping Design within a high-tech industry
  • Experience with a variety of piping systems, materials & joining methods
  • Working knowledge of common drafting standards, OSHA, NFPA 30, and ASME codes & regulations
  • Preferred semi-conductor, pharma, bio-tech manufacturing experience, but not required
  • Preferred working knowledge of standard and LEED plumbing fixtures, fittings and specifications but not required
