Piping Designer

We are seeking a Piping Designer to support piping layout and design activities for a large industrial refining project.

Responsibilities

• Develop piping layouts and design deliverables.
• Create and revise piping plans, sections, details, and related drawings.
• Interpret P&IDs and equipment information.
• Develop piping routing around process equipment and facility structures.
• Coordinate designs with other engineering disciplines.
• Participate in 3D model reviews and resolve design conflicts.
• Incorporate engineering comments and project standards into designs.
• Support material takeoffs and other piping documentation as required.

Qualifications

• Piping design experience within industrial/process facilities.
• Experience with refining, petrochemical, chemical processing, oil and gas, or EPC projects preferred.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and equipment layouts.
• Experience with 3D plant-design software.
• Strong understanding of piping layout/design principles.
• Ability to work onsite in Houston.

Preferred

• Current AutoCAD Plant 3D experience strongly preferred.
