PIPII Cryomodule Contract Technician- Batavia, IL
Location : Batavia, IL 60510
Project Duration : 06+ months of contract
Summary:
The APS-SRF department needs to hire an assembly and test technician for instrumentation used on the production PIPII SSR1 and LB650 Cryomodules
Tasks:
- Fabrication, assembly, installation and removal of a variety of electrical parts and sub-assemblies.
- Wiring of custom control interface boxes based on schematics, drawings, and verbal and written instructions.
- Cable assembly, layout, and termination in terminal blocks or connectors.
- Instrumentation interface and readout.
- Written documentation.
Requirements:
- Soldering experience
- Proven ability to work from typical electrical schematics used for industrial control systems or equivalent.
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Ability to work on a ladder
- Be able to lift 15lbs.
- Must have good communication and interpersonal skills and work in a team environment.
