We are looking for a dependable Pipe Cutting & Production Operator to join a busy manufacturing shop. This position is responsible for preparing and cutting pipe to production specifications while assisting with material handling and other shop operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is mechanically inclined, pays attention to detail, and is willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities.
Job Duties
- Operate band saws, hem saws, and related cutting equipment
- Accurately measure and cut pipe according to work orders and specifications
- Inspect materials and verify measurements before cutting
- Load, unload, and move pipe and other materials throughout the shop
- Assist with receiving materials from delivery trucks
- Support assembly and other production activities as needed
- Learn to operate additional equipment as training is provided
- Follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures
- Maintain an organized and hazard-free work area
- Assist with general shop duties and other tasks as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operation experience preferred
- Experience with saws or industrial cutting equipment is a plus
- Forklift experience preferred, but not required
- Comfortable using a tape measure and following detailed specifications
- Strong attention to accuracy and quality
- Able to safely lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable standing and working on your feet for extended periods
- Willing to learn new machinery and work in different areas of the shop
- Reliable, safety-minded, and dependable
- Strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a team
