    Job Summary

    Sigma Systems is seeking a Pilot Plant Operator to support pilot plant campaigns in a GMP manufacturing environment in Ridgefield, CT. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with bulk manufacturing, GMP procedures, manufacturing equipment, batch records, calculations, and process troubleshooting.

    This position is well suited for candidates with experience as a Pilot Plant Operator, Manufacturing Technician, Process Technician, Production Technician, or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Technician who are comfortable working in a regulated environment and following strict safety and quality procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Follow the direction of the Lead Client Technician during pilot plant manufacturing campaigns.
    • Work closely with plant technicians and campaign managers to identify and resolve process and equipment-related challenges.
    • Assist the BI Lead Technician with communicating batch status to chemists, Ch.D. Analytical, MAS, and other relevant teams.
    • Complete all required training within established deadlines.
    • Participate in daily team meetings, including 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM meetings.
    • Develop proficiency in pilot plant equipment operation, batch record entries, and manufacturing calculations.
    • Attend PSOR meetings, actively participate, and provide relevant input.
    • Follow all established GMP procedures, SOPs, safety requirements, and PPE guidelines.
    • Promptly report incidents, including spills, exposures, cuts, abrasions, or other safety events, to management.
    • Perform all manufacturing activities with safety as the highest priority.
    • Maintain accurate documentation and follow established manufacturing processes and procedures.
    • Assist with troubleshooting equipment and process issues as needed.

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma/GED required; Associate degree preferred.
    • Previous experience working with GMP procedures.
    • Experience in bulk manufacturing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, chemical manufacturing, or a similar regulated production environment.
    • Technical knowledge of manufacturing systems, methods, and procedures.
    • Hands-on experience operating manufacturing or processing equipment.
    • Strong equipment and process troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to accurately complete batch records, calculations, and production documentation.
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional manufacturing team.
    • Commitment to maintaining a strong safety-first mindset.
