    Opportunity:

    Physician - Urology


    Job Details:

    • 24-hour call coverage scheduled from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM

    • No in-house call required; however, response time to be on-site is within 20 minutes

    • Typically 2-4 calls per night with 1-2 expected on-site call-ins

    • Approximately 1-5 patients per shift with an average of 2-5 inpatient calls per 24 hours

    • Physicians are not required to remain on-site during night or weekend call but are required to round and discharge

    • Average on-site call-back hours expected: 2-4 hours per day

    • If assignment is strictly 24-hour call: 2-4 hours per day of rounding, with remaining hours on-call with call-back

    • Rounding to be completed by locum provider on new admissions and any inpatient requiring rounds

    • Common procedures include kidney stone management, consults on continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), stent placements, hematuria management, and difficult catheter placements

    • Handles patient consults, on-call questions, and transfer/consult questions

    • General Urology experience required with adult patient population

    • Ureteroscopy experience required; laparoscopic surgery and nephrectomy experience preferred

    • Board certification required; fellowship required

    • Trauma Level 2 facility
