JOB DESCRIPTION:
Hospitalist Profile:
- Patient population - mainly adult & elderly; 15% are pediatric
- 24-hours of physician coverage daily; 12-hour shifts
- 7 on/7 off block schedule
- 12-hours APP coverage daily; 12-hour shifts
- 1 APP in-house at night
- Hospitalists respond to codes
- Open ICU; pulmonologist available
- No procedures
- Meditech EMR
SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have IN license and DEA at time of presentation
- Must have clean malpractice/background for temp privs
- Must be Board Certified IM/FP
- Must send self-query NPDB and EPA with presentation
- Must be able to work a minimum of 7 shifts in a row
- Must be able to work day and night shifts
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- ACLS
- ATLS
- BLS
Board Certified:
- DEA
- PALS
STATE LICENSE REQUIREMENTS:
- Indiana
About Company
This two-day continuing education symposium will center on the nuts and bolts of everyday care for patients with cardiovascular diseases, and present new ideas for tailoring the most appropriate treatment plan for each individual. Focus will be placed on gauging and monitoring therapy, including recognizing symptoms, evaluating risk factors, guiding treatment through imaging, general and functional testing, and appropriate therapy. Unlike most programs, this will be delivered as a case based program. In other words, how would I manage a diabetic patient with these lipid levels? Case examples make the lectures more relevant to everyday practitioners.
