Pay Rate: $ 73.00/hr- on road

Shift Details
  • Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m
Qualifications
  • The candidate must:

    • Hold a current and unrestricted Alaska license as a Physician Assistant under 12 AAC 40.400

    • Hold a current unrestricted DEA registration authorizing the prescribing of Schedule II, III, IV, and V controlled substances

    • Have at least two years of family practice or general practice experience

    • Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories

    • Diagnose medical conditions

    • Order tests and X-rays

    • Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications

    • Perform minor medical procedures

    • Consult with and refer patients to specialists when authorized

    • Complete required documentation in the Department's electronic health record

    • Provide after-hours telephone consultation when scheduled

    • Pass the Department's background investigation and security clearance

    • Work onsite at an on-road or off-road Alaska correctional facility

    • Prior emergency medicine or correctional healthcare experience is preferred.
