Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the growth of the company by assisting the in-house Senior Director of Physician Recruitment with logistics of recruitment and onboarding process to result in successful placement of physician candidates.
  • Develop and maintain working knowledge of the health system and regional communities to assist with candidate inquiries.
  • Work with the in-house physician recruitment team to profile positions and develop practice opportunity descriptions.
  • Attend physician recruitment/business development meetings, physician onboarding meetings, and Physician Recruitment functions, as needed.
  • Enhance the physician recruitment experience in collaboration with the recruitment team.
  • Manage the physician recruitment database to maintain status of all candidates and searches.
  • Coordinate and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Maintain a weekly status list of all active searches and provide ad hoc reports as needed.
  • Assist in-house physician recruitment team with candidate interview process, including telephone coordination and confirmation with both the candidate and the client.
  • Assemble and distribute all collateral materials for physician recruitment program.
  • Assist with academic appointments and contracts.
  • Facilitate site visits for physician candidates and their spouses/significant others, including planning for travel, lodging, meals, and welcome gifts, developing itineraries, and providing transportation as needed.
  • Develop and maintain an effective working knowledge of local physician employment agreements, employment process, offer packages, compensation, and benefits to answer candidate questions.
  • Establish high reach work objectives, personally track and report on performance.
  • Provide input into the physician recruitment program budget. Manage costs effectively, audit, and submit expenses for approval and payment.
  • Assist marketing, regional development, and physician recruitment teams to fully develop a high-impact local physician website. Assist in the design, order, stocking of physician recruitment literature, packets, and brochures.
  • Continually develop and improve upon processes, procedures, policies, and techniques to recruit and onboard physicians. Maintain up-to-date knowledge and compliance with federal and state fair employment laws and guidelines, credentialing guidelines, and other applicable regulations.
  • Assist with the onboarding of physicians, including all pre-boarding and onboarding activities.
  • Coordinate and partner with WCM & Columbia Medical College for new hire academic appointment applications.
  • Manage coordination of the New Physician Welcome.
  • Assist with candidate reimbursement process for incidental expenses incurred by candidate or spouse.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • Previous healthcare, sales, marketing, or recruiting background preferred with specific knowledge of the medical/physician community.
  • Knowledge of the physician credentialing process is a plus.
  • Comfortable talking with leaders and physicians regularly.
  • Medical terminology and EA experience.
  • Superior marketing and public relations skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally to present practice opportunities positively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including superior grammar and proofreading skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate a professional and adaptable demeanor with internal and external clients, including physicians, administrators, peers, and support staff.
  • Exhibit a high energy level, and demonstrate the ability to work as a team, with flexibility in work habits to schedule and meet the needs of the medical staff.
  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, and prioritize a large volume of detail-oriented work in accordance with changing deadlines.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, and follow through to accomplish results.
  • Strong computer technology skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct Internet research in an efficient, productive manner.
  • Flexibility to attend meetings and work from various locations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master's Degree preferred.
