Physician - Internal Medicine - Oncology

Job Details:

• Outpatient clinic schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with 9-hour shifts
• 
  
• 36 hours of patient care and ambulatory clinic coverage per week, including 30 minutes of admin time and 1 hour lunch
• 
  
• Hospital call coverage rotation every 4th or 5th week, one full week at a time
• 
  
• Weekday hospital visits for new consults, with Saturday and/or Sunday coverage for rounding and emergent consults
• 
  
• Patient mix consists of 70% Oncology and 30% Hematology, primarily benign cases
• 
  
• Primary focus on outpatient care with Nurse Practitioners rounding on existing patients
• 
  
• On-call provider handles new consults at the hospital once evaluated
• 
  
• Expected patient encounters of 15 to 18 per shift
• 
  
• Board certification required with a minimum of board certification eligible
• 
  
• BLS certification required
• 
  
• Must be able to cover at least 90% of scheduled shifts to be considered
