Description

OB/GYN Provider — Physician (MD/DO) or Nurse Practitioner

  • Reports to: Medical Director
  • Employment Type: Full Time Onsite, 80% Clinical
  • Schedule: 37.5 hours/week, with shared evening/weekend coverage

We are seeking a Physician (MD/DO) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our OB/GYN team and provide high-quality, patient-centered care to our diverse urban community in Roxbury, MA.

You will work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, medical assistants, behavioral health clinicians, resource case managers, and other members of an integrated care team.

Role Overview

  • Provide comprehensive prenatal, postpartum, preventive, reproductive, and gynecologic care as appropriate to your role.
  • Review laboratory, imaging, pathology, and other diagnostic results and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Coordinate referrals, hospital follow-up, and transitions of care.
  • Participate in shared system of telephone triage support and after-hours coverage, with a nurse triage service layer.
  • Participate in quality improvement, population health, research, grant, and community-based initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary care team to improve patient outcomes and access to care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Support a culture of professionalism, teamwork, continuous learning, and patient-centered care.

Practice and Call Responsibilities Specific to the Physician (MD/DO) Role

  • May participate in hospital-based OB/GYN coverage and the physician call rotation as outlined in the employment agreement.
  • Provide physician-level management of obstetric emergencies and complex clinical situations.
  • Provide physician consultation and escalation support to other clinical providers.
  • Participate in hospital-based deliveries, procedures, admissions, consultations, and other responsibilities consistent with hospital privileges.

Specific call frequency, location, response expectations, and responsibilities will be defined by the department and employment agreement.

Qualifications

Physician (MD/DO)

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency.
  • Board eligible or board certified in OB/GYN.
  • Active Massachusetts medical license.
  • DEA registration and Massachusetts Controlled Substances Registration, as applicable.
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Eligible for required hospital credentialing and privileges.

Nurse Practitioner

  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Current Massachusetts NP/APRN licensure and appropriate national board certification.
  • OB/GYN or women's health experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of two years of NP experience preferred/required based on departmental needs.
  • BLS certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Eligible for required organizational credentialing and clinical privileges.

Compensation

  • Physician (MD/DO): $200,000–$250,000 per year, plus benefits
  • Nurse Practitioner: $125,000–$150,000 per year, plus benefits
