Physician - Interventional Cardiology
Job Details:
- Inpatient and call practice setting
- Staffed onsite Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-call weekday evenings Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- On-call weekends Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM
- Potential for some rounding responsibility
- Moderate call volume with STEMI activations and a notable cancellation rate
- Providers will receive more phone calls while on-call than emergent callbacks
- STEMI call is aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage
- Average of 2 inpatient admissions per physician per day
- Facility has 250 total beds including 30 ICU beds
- Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during coverage
- No supervision of other healthcare providers required
- Patient population includes adult and geriatric demographics
- Documentation system is EPIC
- Procedures required include Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, and Atherectomy
- Board Certification required
- BLS/ACLS required
- Active Virginia state license required
- Clean malpractice history required
- Must be able to provide at least 50 case logs within the past 12 months for interventional cases
- Flight, hotel, and rental car reimbursement provided
