    Opportunity:

    Physician - Interventional Cardiology


    Job Details:

    • Inpatient and call practice setting

    • Staffed onsite Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM

    • On-call weekday evenings Monday through Friday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM

    • On-call weekends Saturday 7:00 AM through Monday 7:00 AM

    • Potential for some rounding responsibility

    • Moderate call volume with STEMI activations and a notable cancellation rate

    • Providers will receive more phone calls while on-call than emergent callbacks

    • STEMI call is aligned with unassigned call and noninvasive coverage

    • Average of 2 inpatient admissions per physician per day

    • Facility has 250 total beds including 30 ICU beds

    • Other Interventional Cardiologists will be present during coverage

    • No supervision of other healthcare providers required

    • Patient population includes adult and geriatric demographics

    • Documentation system is EPIC

    • Procedures required include Balloon Angioplasties, Coronary Angioplasty, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI), Heart Catheterization, Medical Management of Vascular Disease, Coronary Angiograms, Embolic Protection, Carotid Artery Stenting, and Atherectomy

    • Board Certification required

    • BLS/ACLS required

    • Active Virginia state license required

    • Clean malpractice history required

    • Must be able to provide at least 50 case logs within the past 12 months for interventional cases

    • Flight, hotel, and rental car reimbursement provided

The medical center maintains a collaborative environment with multiple specialists on staff and utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system to support high-quality, coordinated patient care.
