    The Facility

    You will practice at a large, full-service medical center in Central Texas — a teaching hospital campus with inpatient and outpatient services, on-site imaging, laboratory, pharmacy, and a broad multispecialty medical staff. Support is built in: scheduling, nursing, and ancillary teams handle the administrative load so your day stays clinical. The patient population is stable, insured, and largely young to middle-aged families and working adults.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide primary and consultative care to an adult outpatient population
    • Manage complex chronic conditions including diabetes, hypertension, and cardiopulmonary disease
    • Order and interpret diagnostic studies and coordinate specialty referrals
    • Document encounters in the electronic health record
    • Participate in quality and peer-review activities

    Qualifications

    • Active, unrestricted Texas medical license (or license from another U.S. state with Texas licensure in process)
    • Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
    • Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Internal Medicine

    Schedule

    Core schedule is Monday–Friday, 8-hour days (0730–1630). Scheduled call and an average of 1–2 weekends per month per the published coverage schedule, which is issued 90 days in advance. Federal holidays off.
