    Job Summary:

    Geisinger Medical Center (GMC), a nationally recognized tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital, is seeking a BC/BE Internal Medicine physician to join our growing Hospital Medicine team in Danville, Pennsylvania.

    As a hospitalist at GMC, you will practice in a collaborative, physician-led environment alongside specialists, advanced practitioners, residents, and interdisciplinary care teams dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. GMC serves as Geisinger's flagship academic medical center and offers the unique opportunity to combine inpatient medicine with teaching, quality improvement, and leadership development.
    Position works on a shift-based schedule and does not accrue PTO or CME days.

    Job Duties:

    • Full-time hospitalist position at Geisinger's flagship academic medical center
    • 7on/7off block scheduling
    • Closed ICU model with dedicated intensivist support
    • Robust subspecialty support across all major service lines
    • Opportunities to teach and mentor Internal Medicine residents and medical students
    • Participation in quality improvement, patient safety, and leadership initiatives
    • EPIC EMR across the health system
    • Competitive compensation package. (No RVU or Productivity bonuses)

    Position Details:

    • MD or DO degree
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine/Family Medicine
    • Eligible for Pennsylvania medical licensure
    • Strong commitment to patient-centered care, teamwork, and clinical excellence
    • Interest in teaching, leadership, and academic medicine welcomed

    Education:

    Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine- (Required)

    Experience:

    Certification(s) and License(s):

    Licensed Medical Doctor - State of Pennsylvania

    Skills:

    Patient Care And Procedural Skills, Professional Etiquette, Systems-Based Practice
