    Opportunity:

    Physician - Hospitalist


    Job Details:

    • Full-time locums MD Hospitalist position in a collaborative, physician-respected, community-based environment

    • 7-10 shifts per month with 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

    • In-person presence required in the unit/hospital during each shift

    • Weekend coverage expected; schedule can be broken into 2 blocks

    • No call coverage required

    • 100% adult inpatient and observation population with 100% in-hospital admissions

    • Average of 15-20 patients per day; split patient load with experienced NP on weekdays

    • Level 3 trauma capabilities

    • Responsibilities include responding to codes and rapid responses

    • Ventilator management experience preferred; management of step-down level patients

    • No procedures required

    • EMR/Documentation: Cerner Community Works

    • Supportive nursing staff and collegial working relationship with ED team and surgeons

    • Strong case management team to support discharge process and strong overnight hospitalist MD team

    • Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine with hospitalist work experience required

    • Vermont state license required or willingness to obtain

    • 1-2 years of hospitalist or comparable inpatient adult medicine experience required

    • Clean background with no malpractice or license issues required
