Opportunity:

Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide holiday coverage for Thanksgiving and Christmas periods
• 
  
• 24-hour call coverage for November 26 & 27, December 24, 25, 26
• 
  
• Regular schedule Monday-Friday 7:30 AM - 3:15 PM
• 
  
• Weekday call coverage 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• 
  
• Minimal weekend call responsibilities
• 
  
• Handle 12-15 procedures per day plus possible add-ons
• 
  
• Perform general GI cases including EGD, EGD with banding, foreign body removal, and dilations
• 
  
• Conduct colonoscopies with biopsies and polyp excisions
• 
  
• Upper GI endoscopy with various procedures including biopsy, foreign body removal, and cautery
• 
  
• Perform sigmoidoscopy (both flexible and rigid)
• 
  
• Small bowel biopsy capabilities required
• 
  
• Manage insertion and care of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes
• 
  
• Must be board certified with minimum 3 years fellowship training
• 
  
• ACLS and BLS certification required
