Physician - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- Provide urgent Gastroenterology coverage on an inpatient basis at a Level 1 Trauma facility
- 24-hour call shifts running 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM the following morning
- Coverage available for the following dates: September 6-10, November 7-11, November 30-December 5, December 21-24, with ongoing January 2027 dates to follow
- 7-day stints preferred but not required going into 2027
- Required procedures include scoping, ERCP, EUS, endoscopy, GI bleed management, and evaluation of GI problems
- Patient population includes adult, geriatric, and adolescent patients
- Expected caseload of 8-10 new patient admissions and follow-ups, plus 5-8 scopes per day
- GI functions as a consult service only and does not admit patients directly
- 24/7 intensivists, hospitalists, and trauma services available on site
- EMR system is EPIC; prior EPIC experience required
- Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
- Gastroenterology Fellowship required
- Active DEA required for credentialing
- Active CO license highly preferred
- Candidates must be able to perform ERCP and EUS to be considered
- Candidates must detail the number of shifts per month they can offer on an ongoing basis
- Local/drive-in candidates highly preferred and will be placed as Tier 1 providers
- Weekend and on-call availability required
