    Opportunity:

    Physician (MD) - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology


    Job Details:

    • Coverage dates run from December 25th through January 1st, beginning at 7:00 AM

    • ERCP training is required for this position

    • Must hold active Indiana license, CSR, and DEA to be considered

    • Must be Board Certified in Gastroenterology

    • Physician will be on call for 24 hours, seven consecutive days

    • Responsibilities include consults, inpatient care, and transfers

    • Support staff includes APPs, a rounding nurse, and the GI team

    • Average of 20 patient encounters per shift

    • Required procedures include diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography)

    • Preferred procedural skills include upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, cautery/laser fulguration, variceal injection, PEG placement, esophageal dilatation and manometry, small bowel biopsy, sigmoidoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy, endoscopic ultrasound, liver biopsy, and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube insertion and management

    • BLS and ABLS certifications are required
