Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology
Job Details:
- See 14-18 patients per shift providing comprehensive gastroenterology services
- Perform upper GI endoscopy including procedures with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeding
- Conduct injection of varices and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
- Perform ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) both diagnostic and therapeutic
- Provide esophageal dilatation/manometry services and interpret esophageal manometry results
- Conduct small bowel biopsy and lower GI endoscopy procedures
- Perform both flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy
- Conduct colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision capabilities
- Perform endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and liver biopsy procedures
- Manage insertion and maintenance of Sengstaken/Blakemore tubes
- Board certification required with fellowship training preferred
- Locum tenens position with ongoing coverage needs
