Physician - Gastroenterology

Job Details:

• Provide 24-hour call coverage with no clinic coverage required
• 
  
• Round on inpatient GI patients and perform procedures as needed
• 
  
• Cover emergency department inpatient consults and any new ED or inpatient consult needs
• 
  
• Receive handoff from and return patients to local GI physicians
• 
  
• Bread and butter GI scope of practice with ERCP training required
• 
  
• 100% adult inpatient coverage; pediatric patients seen in ER but no inpatient pediatric line
• 
  
• EMR system is Epic
• 
  
• Board Certified in Gastroenterology required
• 
  
• Active Georgia license required at time of submission
• 
  
• Georgia DEA/CSR required
• 
  
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• 
  
• Clean malpractice and background history required
• 
  
• NPDB Self-Query report required at time of presentation (pulled within 30 days)
• 
  
• Provider must be local; no flights

This is a 196-bed acute care hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and emergency medical services to the surrounding community. The facility supports a full range of gastroenterology services, including inpatient rounding, procedural care, and emergency consults, staffed by a team of five local GI physicians. The hospital utilizes Epic as its electronic medical records system and is committed to delivering high-quality patient care across adult populations.
