    Opportunity:

    Physician - Surgery - Surgical Critical Care


    Job Details:

    • Provide 24/7 acute care surgery coverage with each shift lasting 24 hours

    • Manage on-call responsibilities with response time under 30 minutes; in-house coverage during the day and trauma by beeper at night

    • Handle ED consults, urgent OR demands, and full trauma call coverage

    • Manage a census of 30+ patients per day including acute care surgical cases

    • ATLS certification required

    • Board certification required (minimum board certification eligible)

    • Fellowship required

    • Level 3 trauma facility

    • Required surgical skills include: general surgery (adult and trauma), laparoscopic procedures (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty, Nissen fundoplication), liver surgery, chest tube insertion, central line insertion, and sigmoidoscopy

    • Preferred skills include: pediatric surgery, chest wall/pleural procedures, GI endoscopy (upper and lower), and colonoscopy
