At Matrix Providers, we believe great physicians deserve a work environment built around stability, structure, and respect for your time. You’ll have the opportunity to focus on patient care while working with a supportive healthcare team and serving a population that has given so much to our country.

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

  • $190–$200 per hour
  • $30,000 sign-on bonus
  • $10,000 relocation assistance
  • 1099 independent contractor opportunity
  • Work alongside a professional healthcare team serving Military Service Members and their families
  • Lower provider-to-patient ratios designed to support quality patient care
  • Structured scheduling
  • Opportunity to make a direct impact through comprehensive gastroenterology care
  • Work in a mission-driven environment where your expertise truly matters

Your Schedule

The government may schedule providers for 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts. When necessary for patient care, providers may occasionally be required to work a 16-hour shift.

The schedule includes approximately 1–2 weekends per month and requires participation in on-call coverage.

During on-call periods, you are NOT required to remain at your residence. You must remain available by a government-provided or personal phone/pager and may be asked to report in when patient care needs require it.

What You’ll Do

As a Gastroenterologist, you’ll provide comprehensive specialty care while working within your clinical privileges and supporting the overall health and well-being of our military population.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with a broad range of gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's clinical needs.
  • Order and interpret appropriate diagnostic testing and procedures.
  • Provide preventive care, patient education, counseling, and health-maintenance services.
  • Coordinate specialty referrals, consultations, procedures, and follow-up care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.
  • Provide guidance, teaching, and clinical instruction to other healthcare professionals when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.
  • Participate in quality assurance, professional review, training, and other activities that support excellent patient care.
  • Practice in accordance with applicable clinical standards, Joint Commission requirements, Department of Defense/DHA policies, and facility guidelines.

Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to use your gastroenterology expertise to provide compassionate, high-quality care to the people who serve our nation and their families.

What You Bring

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Gastroenterologist who is committed to delivering excellent patient care and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.
