Job Details:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine required
• 
  
• Minimum 2-3 years of recent emergency medicine experience required
• 
  
• Must have recent experience seeing high volume and high acuity patients
• 
  
• Must be eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted Georgia medical license free of restrictions, probationary terms, or conditions
• 
  
• No history of license revocation, restriction, or suspension in any jurisdiction
• 
  
• Must have current or be willing to obtain unrestricted DEA registration - active GA DEA required
• 
  
• EMR system: Expanse
• 
  
• Emergency department features 20 ED bays, 12 fast track bays, and 3 high security rooms
• 
  
• Patient volume of 1.8-2.0 patients per hour
• 
  
• Nurse/APP triage available for lower acuity patients with fast track area used for triage from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• 
  
• Physician shifts are 11-hour shifts: 6:00 AM-5:00 PM, 11:00 AM-10:00 PM, and 7:00 PM-6:00 AM
• 
  
• Staffing model includes 2-4 EM providers on at the same time
• 
  
• ED admission rate of 12-16%
• 
  
• Ongoing need with both AM and PM shift coverage required

The hospital is home to a 15,000 square-foot comprehensive cancer center providing radiation and medical oncology services in one centralized location. The state-of-the-art facility features all private rooms, a large emergency department with trauma, diagnostic, and treatment rooms, a women's pavilion with a modern nursery, and an ultra-modern cardiovascular lab for diagnostic and interventional cardiology services.
