Physician - Emergency Medicine

Job Details:

• Must be Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (BCEM) or have previous HCA experience
• 
  
• Fellowship/certification in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, or ABEM required; if not ABEM certified, must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting
• 
  
• 12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM coverage
• 
  
• Duration of need is 6-12 months to start
• 
  
• FSED setting features 12 bays with low to mid acuity patient mix; occasional coverage at main facility with 80 bays and mid to high acuity patient mix
• 
  
• Patient volume averages 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes
• 
  
• Single coverage model at FSED; multi-provider coverage at main facility
• 
  
• ED admission rate of 8-10% at FSED and approximately 30% at main facility
• 
  
• No trauma center designation
• 
  
• Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
• 
  
• Standard emergency department support staff provided
