Opportunity:
Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care including evaluation, treatment, and disposition of patients in an Emergency Department setting
- Work collaboratively with attending physicians to manage a broad spectrum of emergency conditions ranging from medium to high acuity
- Ensure effective patient handoffs and communication with consultants, hospitalists, and other care teams
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
- Expect 8-14 admissions and patients per day with mostly medical, low trauma, medium to high acuity cases
- Full-time locum coverage needed with ideal availability of 2 weeks per month (approximately 15 shifts); preference given to single physician able to work full-time including some weekends
- Must be flexible to work varied shifts including AM (7a-4p weekdays / 7a-3p weekends), Mid (11a-8p), PM (2p-11p weekdays / 3p-11p weekends), and overnight shifts (6p-3a or 10p-7a)
- Specific coverage dates needed include shifts in November, December, January, February, and March across multiple time slots
- EMR system: EPIC; support staff includes RNs
- Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM/AOBEM)
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medicine experience required
- Active Washington State license required (IMLC not accepted at this time)
- Emergency Medicine Fellowship required for physicians
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and DEA
- Clean background and malpractice history required
- Weekend availability required
