Job Details:
- Emergency Medicine Board Certification required
- Locum Tenens assignment with shifts available August through December and ongoing
- Provider staffing model consists of 1 Physician covering 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM shifts, plus 1 APP covering 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM daily
- Nursing staffing model includes 2 RNs around the clock plus a triage RN mid-day
- Additional support staff includes respiratory, float RN, Nursing Supervisor, and Nurse Manager
- Emergency department consists of 9 beds with varying patient encounters per shift
- Average daily census is 44 patients
- Trauma Level 4 facility
- 24-hour availability of support services including Anesthesia, Cardiology, Catheterization Lab, General Surgery, Laboratory, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Radiology, and Vascular Surgery
- No Labor & Delivery department on site; if delivery situation arises, deliver and transfer to affiliated facility when stable
- Active Pennsylvania medical license required
- Clean malpractice history and NPDB preferred
- Nearest airports are Pittsburgh and Latrobe; lodging recommendations available in the Altoona area
