Job Details:

• Emergency Medicine physician coverage needed at freestanding emergency department (FSED) with occasional coverage at main facility
• 
  
• 12-hour shifts available covering both AM and PM shift times
• 
  
• FSED operates with 12 bays and single physician coverage model
• 
  
• Main facility operates with 80 bays and multi-provider coverage model
• 
  
• Patient volume averages 2 to 2.5 patients per hour at peak volumes
• 
  
• FSED patient mix is low to mid acuity; main facility handles mid to high acuity patients
• 
  
• ED admission rate is 8-10% at FSED and approximately 30% at main facility
• 
  
• No trauma center designation on site
• 
  
• Nurse/APP triage for lower acuity patients available at main facility only, not at FSED
• 
  
• Board certification through IM, FP, or ABEM required; if not ABEM certified, minimum 2 years of emergency department experience required
• 
  
• Case logs required to demonstrate procedural proficiencies
• 
  
• Orientation includes 2 shadow days and 1 IT/in-house orientation day
