Job Details:

• Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician to float between two facilities
• 
  
• Primary need is for night shift coverage
• 
  
• Shift options available include 8-hour, 11-hour, and 12-hour shifts
• 
  
• Trauma Level 3 facility with 32 total beds and an annual ER volume of 55,000
• 
  
• EMR system used is Meditech
• 
  
• Physicians are not responsible for codes
• 
  
• Admissions are handled by the hospitalist or admitting service
• 
  
• APP coverage is available on site
• 
  
• Approximately 30% of ED patients are admitted to the hospital per day
• 
  
• On-call physicians are required to respond within 30 minutes per hospital bylaws
• 
  
• Deliveries are sent directly to Labor and Delivery, not handled in the ED
• 
  
• ED is responsible for monitoring and supervising paramedics and ambulance by radio
• 
  
• Active Massachusetts license highly preferred; MA licensed providers will be given priority
• 
  
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
• 
  
• ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency required
• 
  
• Must be a local provider; no flights will be reimbursed
• 
  
• Hotel reimbursement provided by facility
