Job Details:

• Provide Emergency Medicine Physician coverage for open shift needs
• 
  
• Shift lengths of 9 to 12 hours available
• 
  
• 1 to 2 Physician coverage during day hours and 1 Physician coverage during night hours
• 
  
• Work alongside 1 to 2 Advanced Practice Providers with supervision of APPs expected
• 
  
• No on-call responsibilities
• 
  
• Average emergency department volume of 77 patients per day with 33,000 annual visits
• 
  
• Peak/busiest shifts occur during 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
• 
  
• Less than 3% of patients are transferred out
• 
  
• Level 3 Trauma facility with 250 beds
• 
  
• Teaching hospital with teaching opportunities available
• 
  
• EMR system: EPIC
• 
  
• Average of 15 open shifts per month on a first come first serve basis
• 
  
• Board Certified by ABEM required
• 
  
• Active Iowa license or IMLC required
• 
  
• ATLS required for trauma privileges
• 
  
• Clean background required
