Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
- Seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to cover the equivalent of 2 FTEs
- Must be flexible to work days, nights, and weekends
- Preference for providers open to working at main hospital as well as affiliated freestanding emergency rooms
- Main hospital campus may consider less than 12-hour shifts; affiliated freestanding emergency departments require 12-hour shifts
- State-of-the-art modern emergency department with complete renovation and expansion in 2022
- 18-bed emergency department with an annual ED volume of 20,000 patients
- Physician coverage is 24 hours daily in 12-hour shifts
- APP coverage provided during peak times
- EMR system and dictation technology available
- AHCA Primary Stroke Center Designation
- Phlebotomy support available during surges, difficult sticks, or sepsis/stroke alerts
- Imaging services include MRI, CT scan, X-ray, and Ultrasound
- ACLS required
- Current ED volume is approximately 60 patients per day, ranging from low 50s in summer up to 70 patients per day January through March
- APP coverage hours vary by season
- ED provider shifts run 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Must guarantee a minimum of 6 to 8 shifts per month
- Must be willing to work at freestanding emergency departments associated with the main facility
