    PRACTICE INFO:

    • Practice Location
    • 1805 27th St. Portsmouth, OH
    • Hospital-employed multispecialty group; approximately 80% inpatient and 20% outpatient
    • 10 exam rooms in the surgical area
    • Office Hours/Work Schedule
    • Monday-Thursday, 7:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.; Friday, 7:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
    • Two to three half-day clinics
    • Staffing
    • 5 physicians
    • 6 APPs
    • 2 surgical first assists
    • 1 EKG tech
    • 17 LPNs
    • 6 CMAs
    • 3 surgery schedulers
    • 11 MOAs
    • 24/7 hospitalist coverage through Apogee
    • Call Schedule/CERP (if applicable)
    • Call 1:3 rotation shared with two physicians
    • Case Load
    • 10-15 patients per half-day clinic
    • 1-2 office procedures/day
    • Loop recorder removal
    • Varies 1-6+ hospital procedures/day

    • Practice Expectations
    • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiothoracic Surgery
    • Fellowship trained in Cardiac Surgery
    • Eligible for medical licensure in the state of Ohio
    • Experience performing a full range of adult cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass and valve surgery
    • Participate in the cardiothoracic surgery call schedule
    • Collaborate closely with cardiology, vascular surgery, anesthesia, advanced practice providers, and other members of the multidisciplinary heart and vascular team
    • Demonstrate a commitment to quality outcomes, patient safety, and evidence-based care
    • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with patients, families, referring providers, and team members
