Physician - Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine

Job Details:

• 12-hour in-house day shift with no call required
• 
  
• Coverage schedule is 7 days on and 7 days off, approximately 1-2 weeks per month
• 
  
• 14-bed ICU and 12-bed CTU coverage
• 
  
• Expected patient encounters of 8-14 patients per shift
• 
  
• Perform all procedures needed when covering the ICU including intubation, arterial lines, and central lines
• 
  
• Ventilation management including invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy) and non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP) preferred
• 
  
• Chest tube insertion and bronchoscopy with bronchial alveolar lavage (BAL) preferred
• 
  
• Evaluation and management of acute volume and blood pressure issues preferred
• 
  
• Insertion of central lines, arterial lines, PA catheters, and intra-aortic balloon pump preferred
• 
  
• Dialysis catheter placement and ICP evaluation and management preferred
• 
  
• Diagnostic and therapeutic taps including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis preferred
• 
  
• Board certification required at minimum certified level
• 
  
• ATLS certification required
• 
  
• Specialty focus in Internal Medicine - Critical Care Medicine
