About the Role: 
Leon Springs Family Practice PA is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physician Assistant to join our team in San Antonio, TX. Schedule: Mon–Thursday, 8am–5pm, Friday 8am-12pm,  no weekends
Compensation: $65–$79/hour for patient-facing time — build your own schedule (est. $105,000–$130,000/year at full-time patient hours)


 
Responsibilities: 

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations including physical exams, medical histories, and diagnostic assessments
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses in a family medicine environment
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
• Develop and manage individualized patient treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians
• Prescribe medications and provide patient education on treatment options and preventive care
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently using electronic health records (EHR)
• Provide follow-up care and coordinate referrals to specialists as needed

Requirements:

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Current NCCPA certification (PA-C) required
• Active Texas state PA license or eligibility to obtain licensure
• Experience in family medicine or primary care strongly preferred
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Strong clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach

 
 
Preferred Qualifications:

• Strongly preferred: experience with Athenahealth EHR
• ACO / value-based care experience is a plus
