Essential Functions of the Role
As a Primary Care PA, you''ll care for patients across the spectrum of acute, chronic, and preventive medicine. You''ll have the opportunity to build lasting patient relationships while working closely with physicians and an experienced care team.
Your role will include:
Evaluating and diagnosing acute and chronic conditions
Performing comprehensive and problem-focused examinations
Ordering and interpreting laboratory and diagnostic studies
Developing evidence-based treatment plans
Prescribing medications and managing chronic disease
Providing preventive care and health counseling
Educating patients and families about treatment, medications, and healthy lifestyle choices
Coordinating specialty referrals and follow-up care
Performing procedures within your scope of practice
Participating in population health and quality-improvement initiatives
Key Success Factors

Current Texas Physician Assistant license
NCCPA certification
BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer
DEA
Ability to meet applicable credentialing and privileging requirements
Current certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant (NCCPA).
