Job Description :
GENERAL OVERVIEW:
We are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable, and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our busy and growing Neurosurgery practice at Jefferson Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated clinician with a strong clinical foundation, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient-centered care.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of neurosurgeons, APPs, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with a wide range of neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Responsibilities include the evaluation and management of patients within the APP scope of practice across outpatient clinic, inpatient, and surgical settings. The position requires flexibility, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Weekday and weekend call responsibilities are shared on a rotating basis among APP team members. Travel between Jefferson Hospital and affiliated practice locations may be required to support inpatient consultations, outpatient clinics, and procedural services as needed. Within the AHN Neurosurgery Department, APPs work as part of a smaller, highly collaborative team that functions across multiple locations and subspecialties. Candidates should be comfortable working independently while also embracing a team-based approach to patient care.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to join a dynamic neurosurgical team, contribute to the continued growth of the practice, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of patients and their families.
This role is an integral part of the care delivery system, prioritizing customer care to foster a healing environment. The incumbent provides specialty and critical care healthcare services within their Physician Assistant scope of practice, managing medical and/or procedural problems for specific populations. This includes addressing acute and chronic health conditions across various settings such as physician offices, non-acute facilities, and inpatient environments. The position adheres to applicable scope and standards of practice, as well as the organization"s policies, values, and mission. Responsibilities may include specialty certification and advanced procedures with appropriate privileging. Depending on the specific role and setting, this position may require rotational coverage, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties, sometimes within a 24/7 coverage model.
