Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner – Outpatient Podiatry

Serve patient populations of pathologic bunions, hammer toes, ingrown nails, heel pain, surgical patients and work collaboratively with Vascular Surgery and the Wound Care Team in caring for wound patients. Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to:

• Provide comprehensive care to both well and ill patients in an outpatient podiatry clinic
• Work collaboratively within a team consisting of physicians, medical assistants, and RNs
• Perform history and physical, pre and post-operative evaluations, develop, manage and modify treatment plans.
• Serve patient populations of pathologic bunions, hammer toes, ingrown nails, heel pain, surgical patients and work collaboratively with Vascular Surgery and the Wound Care Team in caring for wound patients.
• Perform procedures such as; wound debridement, TCC placement, suture removal, cortisone injections, splint removal.
• See patients in follow-up for routine post-op care and manage complications related to surgery.

Education:
If Physician Assistant: Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

If Nurse Practitioner: Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program

Licenses and Certifications:
Minimum - State of Wisconsin PA licensure

Minimum - State of Wisconsin NP or PA licensure

If Physician Assistant*:

• Active PA license, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
• Active PA board certification

If Nurse Practitioner*:

• Active RN and APRN certifications and licenses, including prescriptive authority, in state(s) of practice AND
• Active board certification as a NP in area of clinical practice. These may include the following: Adult/Gerontology Acute Care Adult or Family and RN First Assist.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have*: Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire
