Physician Assistant

Job Title: Physician Assistant – Plastic Surgery
Location: Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr., VAMC 1030 Jefferson Avenue.
Position Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and follow-up evaluations of patients in clinic and inpatient units.

• Assist the Plastic Surgeon in the operating room and during procedures.

• Manage wound care, suture removal, dressing changes, and minor procedures.

• Document patient encounters in the electronic health record (CPRS) within 72 hours.

• Assist with scheduling, care coordination, and patient education.

• Maintain accurate and complete records of patient encounters and follow-ups.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an ARC-PA accredited PA program.

• Certified by the NCCPA and licensed in any U.S. state or territory.

• Minimum of one year of experience working in a surgical or plastic surgery setting preferred.

• Proficiency with electronic medical records.

• Current BLS certification.
